Capabilities

CNC Punching and Laser Cutting

2 Amda CNC turret punch presses, with up to 54 tool stations, capable of cutting and punching parts in flat sheet up to 6mm thickness. 1 Centrum 3000 hybrid laser/punch press with 1500 watt laser and 40 tool stations capable of cutting and punching parts in flat sheet up to 6mm thickness in mild steel. Maximum sheet width is 1500mm.

All machines are pre-programmed using FabriWin CAM software, have a repeatable accuracy of +-0.2mm, and can accommodate steel, stainless steel, aluminium and brass.

NC Folding

6 Promecam NC brake presses capable of repeatable high-precision folding of parts up to 3m long. Capabilities range from 20-100 tonnes.

Welding

MIG, TIG and Oxy-Acetylene welding of steel, stainless steel and aluminium sheet metal parts and heavy guage fabrications with tradespeople qualified to Certificate VII.

Spot-welding of sheet metal assemblies up to 3.0mm thick, using static and mobile machinery with automatic controllers.

Assembly

Installation of threaded fasteners using auto-feed air presses and weld-on studs plus general assembly work. Clean room available for ongoing assembly of sensitive items.

Finishing

Full range of in-house grinding and polishing capabilities including brush finishing, orbital sanding and mirror finishing of stainless steel.

Project management of machining, heat treatment, electroplating, galvanising, powder-coating, wet spray, screen printing, passivation and electropolishing operations.

Powdercoating

Woodroffe has an in-house powdercoating facility suitable for long run single colour applications.

Injection Moulding

We have 21 injection Moulding machines ranging in size from 25 tons up to and including 550 tons with a maximum shot size of 1.9Kg. Type of material currently moulded include Polypropylene, Polyethylene, Flexible PVC, Nylon and PBT to mention a few.

Auto Press Shop

Woodroffe's Auto Press Shop has both 110 ton and 80 ton C frame presses which are fitted with NC controlled servo roll feeders and automatic decoilers. Steel coils up to 3mm thick by 350mm wide can be efficiently pressed into finished products at speeds up to 120 press strokes per minute. For parts that need extra pressing operations to be completed we also have a range of "parts in parts out" presses ranging in size from 17 ton to 60 ton capacity.

Tubemill

Woodroffe's tube mill facility can produce 25.4mm, 22.2mm and 19.05mm diameter steel tube in both raw and galvanised finishes with cut lengths from 300mm to 3.50 metres in length and wall thickness varying from as thin as 0.07mm on the 19.05 tube up to 1.60mm on the 25.3mm tibe. The purpose built tube mill has a unique capability allowing tubing to be pierced, shaped and flattened during the manufacture process, therefore eliminating expensive extra operations.
