About Us
L.W.Gemmell was founded 40 years ago by Mr Les Gemmell and right from the start had a focus on specialised plumbing products commencing operation servicing Tank Fed Flush Valves and soon after Thermostatic Mixing Valves.
Over the years the requirements of the Australian plumbing industry have changed and we are proud to have introduced unique specialised plumbing products such as Trap Primer Valves, air admittance valves and Mains Pressure Flush Valves.
Our recent history has been our most exciting with our business becoming a division of Hills Industries in February 2008. This has enabled us to expand in to Queensland and the Northern Territory and complete our goal to have an office in all states of Australia.
In July 2009 we integrated the Woodroffe Equipment range of Stainless Steel products into our business which has complemented our product range and allowed us to introduce products such as pre-plumbed drinking troughs. In the near future we will see the introduction of kits such as urinals and toilet pans with flushing device options.
Our products all hold the required WaterMark and WELS licenses and are installed in many well known projects such as the Crown Casino and Melbourne Cricket Ground. We pride ourselves in offering onsite product training and assistance to the plumbers on these projects.
The future for LWG is looking bright as we have recognised that water and energy conserving plumbing products are going to be industry standard and this is our prime focus in the innovative plumbing products we look forward to introducing in the future.
